"The deeper they dig, the closer they get to their deaths..."

Rats infest a textile factory. John and a team of workers temporarily leave their position to disinfect the basement of the building that seems to contain their nest.

Diving deeper into the humid depths of the basement, they suddenly lose a few of their coworkers. A hundred feet or so later, they understand what reduced the number of members in the team. They face a giant rat, measuring a few meters. The old structure has collapsed behind them and hence, there is no way of going back up.

If the box hadn’t indicated “Stephen King”, I would have never have known. This movie resembles more a reconstitution of Aliens. That doesn’t make it a bad movie and furthermore, Brad Dourif (Chucky, Child's Play) is a paranoiac exterminator, a role which fits him perfectly. The story is a bid slow, but that only makes the suspense better.

I do not personally have a phobia of rats, but for those who do, the movie must seize them. However, as much as a giant rat must be intimidating, it is very unrealistic.
