The film had been presented to me as being a horror movie about revenge. If revenge means equality, it is true because the context of rape lasts a third of the movie, just like the revenge itself.
The other third of the movie is only there to fill up time, just like most movies of that era.
The reason I like horror movies is mostly because they entertain me. I Spit On Your Grave is only entertaining in the last thirty minutes. The rape scenes are somewhat graphic but that doesn't pose a problem because so are the revenge scenes. What I didn't enjoy and gave me feeling that I was watching a "based on a true story" movie is how long they last. While being offensive, they render the movie terribly boring.
Our hero will come back by murdering the three rapists. Two of the murders do not leave the ordinary but the one where she chops of her aggressor’s penis startled me. We don’t even see the reproductive tool. It is the spasm of blood that almost made me faint. I would even go and recommend you rent this movie just for this single moment.
An important thing to mention though that while this movie is based on revenge against rape, it is not recommended to those who wish to forget some rape related events in their pasts. It is also not a movie that a horror movie fan would want to possess. However, it can be classified in the cult movie category.
On the technical side, this production is horrible. The movie has no atmosphere. The actors, on the other hand, are unbelievable. Sadly, there is an exception to the rule: the retard should have studied another fifteen or sixteen years. Furthermore, I know no one who has enjoyed this movie, which has in fact no targeted audience. Even anonymous rapists will be traumatized.
