Bloody Murder did not revolutionize anything. Not a single thing. I remember back when I dreamed of directing movies with scenarios as good as this when I was 6. I could swear this movie's crew was mostly consisted of pre-teens. The dialogs are cheesy, the motion quality reminded me of a made-for-tv movies and the mood of the movie comes close to what you'd find in a math class.
The murderer's mask is almost identical to Jason's ((Friday the 13th)), a chainsaw in the hand, Ash style (The Evil Dead), the same suit Micheal has (Halloween) and the same telepathic powers Pee-Wee has. On the other hand, that movie made me think of a concept horror fans would love: a movie in which the killer is a copycat who imitates horror movie icons.
I especially liked the final surprise. It gives us the impression that the movie will continue for another twenty minutes but then it deceives us with a confusing Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) type conclusion.
