"A writer inspired by water, movies… and murders."

Stanley, the murderer who drowned his victims, did not stay in the bottom of the lake when his victim got him with his own trick, even though everyone thinks the opposite. A movie is currently being filmed, featuring the novel that he was writing while being inspired by his murders.

By curiosity, Stanley joins the film crew by disguising himself and faking to be a part of the crew. A few members of the crew don’t please him, however. A few others lie about him, thinking that he is still lying in the bottom of the lake.

His goal: get promoted to the rank of director because the script does not please him at all. He does not hesitate to kill to reach his goal.

Who would have thought that a made for TV movie would have a sequel? Just like most other sequels, this movie is a deception. However, everything is taken so lightly in this series that it is not a great loss.

Without Judd Nelson in the role of the psychopath, the psychological slasher would resemble all the others. His face is simply friendly and regardless of how he brutalizes his victims, we don’t believe it. Those who take the scenario seriously will not like the movie.

Just like in the original, the movie isn’t violent. The deaths by drowning aren’t usually bloody. The concept of a sequel taking place on the set of a movie depicting the original has not been born yesterday and I rolled my eyes to a point where I got a headache.

The worst is definitively the slowed down and non-continuous visual effects. This process is frequently repeated and is shocking for the eye. Also, it is an exceptional method to save some money on the stunts when we want to bring the whole crew to the restaurant, once the filming is done.
