Low quality special effects, mediocre acting and uneven progression define Forever Evil. What first starts out looking like a zombie flick eventually ends up wearing the mask of a mystery-investigation film and is finally revealed to be a curious compound of many genres.
Even though it distinguishes itself from the pack, this fact doesn’t make it a good film. Each time it introduces an interesting concept, it is only to create unfulfilled expectations. The first few minutes will remind you of Evil Dead. The correlation between Marc and Ash is easy to make but pitiful. Marc is fatter, less heroic and wears striped blue and yellow clothing. In addition, Ash knew how to manipulate an axe and a chainsaw like none other but Marc has trouble using a revolver. His life will eventually depend on a miniature, one shot only, harpoon of little or no use.
