Scream

"When friends can't protect you... from themselves..."

A year after Sydney's mother has been murdered, a serial killer is on the loose, wreaking havoc.

We suspect that someone either someone very close to the group of friends or someone in it is the culprit. Each of Sydney's friends, one after the other, start to disappear. Sydney quickly realizes that the massacre is related to her and her past.

Originality

Scream is the meeting point of horror and suspense movies. The excellent idea behind this movie is that the killer is inspired by modern day horror movies. The creators of the movie are not afraid of imitating other famous murder scenes because this is the killer's motivation.

What we are all waiting for is to finally know who will reveal himself as being the murderer and this is what the movie is all about. We never see the killer's face because he is always dressed in black and wears a ghost mask. His disguise reminds us of Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th or Michael Myers from Halloween. The first scene is well dialogued and intense. Throughout the movie, we are never get disconnected from the intense suspense. The characters are very consistant and well acted. The final scene is pure genious.
