Monster Dog

Rock star Vincent Raven invites his production team to his native home where they plan on shooting their next music clip. As they drive into the village, they are informed of five deaths caused by killer wolves.

When they get to the house, the place is empty. The house keeper who shouldíve welcomed them is nowhere to be found. Itís only the beginning of the intrigue. Soon, the visitors find themselves trapped inside the manorís walls. Vincent draws evil and his friends face it.

Originality

Alice Cooper is not really a good actor. He gives the impression of caring too much about his image to play a shady character. Fortunately, his presence on screen often is entertaining no matter how small the part and it is the case here.

The main problem with Monster Dog is that itís a werewolf flick without werewolves. They even try hiding this fact with incredible subplots, nightmares, premonitions and other old-fashioned clichťs.

Yet, Monster Dog inherits good things from the 80ís. The characters have bad judgment and the soundtrack is cheesy. Still, this might still be a good thing as many people like their horror flicks with a side-order of cheese. There arenít many special effects because the budget canít afford it. Moreover, the only thing that looks like a werewolf here fails completely.

Do not miss this filmís final moments. It drives us go through the whole movie all over again via some kind of a music clip, perhaps to inform those who might have fallen asleep during the movie. Very sensitive!
